For today’s business or website owner, social and demographic data are of the utmost importance. Whether one operates a an online ecommerce company or is simply trying to sell a product or service, so-called social signs are becoming more important than ever before. Social Metrics Pro is a awesome WordPress plugin that is designed to help the website owner better track their social signals. This helps you keep tabs on what you need to improve upon. As we all know Google has been (and for years) factoring social signals into it’s algorithm.
Social Signals – At A Glance

With Social Metrics Pro, you can easily see which posts are receiving the highest amount of social signals and which are under-performing. Posts that are performing well will appear in green and those that are not will appear in red. This makes it easy for the website owner to know which areas of their site need improvement. And different color indicates different status, including the areas that need improvement.
One of the biggest perks of this WordPress plugin is its ease of use. Installing Social Metrics Pro is as simple as adding a plugin to one’s website. The color-coded means of disseminating your site information makes it easy to see how your posts and content is performing in a single glance. This makes it simple and fast to see what parts of your site, social networking presence or marketing campaign need the most improvement.
Valuable information gleaned through the use of Social Metrics Pro make it easier than ever before to gather and disseminate valuable user information. By allowing one to track social signals, a website owner is better able to determine how one’s marketing campaign is working and what tools will best help to improve their visibility, reputation and potential client base online. If your site or blog is doing really good on Facebook you can focus on more Facebook promotion to increase your chances of going viral.

This plug-in looks awesome. Curious how much they are charging. It didn’t show right away on their site. I believe I did read Jens piece on it too. It must be easy to install too and to be able to see the stats in your dashboard instead of visiting another place to get your tracking, right? Definitely something to consider for the new year. Thanks!

Hey Lisa it’s $27 for a single licence and $47 for multi (unlimited license). Yes, easy to install and I monitor it weekly. Has really helped me a lot.
This does look like a valuable tool Gavin. I have to admit I don’t follow the analytics for my blog posts very closely. I check my ranking on Alexa every morning (it’s in the toolbar so I can’t help but see it), and I tend to rate effectiveness of my articles by how many new sign-ups I get. This past week has been awesome! You’ve certainly given me something to think about thought. Thanks!

Yeah it’s a pretty cool plugin. I should be running a contest where I am giving away a couple copies soon
I have this plugin myself, but I doubt I am making use of it the way it was intended.
Yes, it gives me red and green blocks, true enough and it’s easy to install. However, generally I know the info it is giving me anyway. So I suspect that there is more to it that I am not using or understanding.

Hey Richard,
Really it’s just a monitoring plugin. Basically, make sure you are active on the social media sites and you will see higher rankings on Google. Provided your blog is optimized correctly.
Looks interesting
Like Maquita I tend to measure each posts effectiveness by the amount of subscribers (assuming that is the goal of the post).

I’ll take a deeper a look at this plugin and see if it gives me the data I’m looking for – thanks for sharing.

Hey Sarah,
Unfortunately, it doesn’t give you how many people subscribed per post? Do you know a plugin that exist for that?
