What Is Fiverr.com?
Fiverr.com is a freelancing website, but a faster and better way to earn money for newbies. Unlike any other freelancing sites, it’s not only limited to major freelancing gigs such as web designing, programming, coding, and etc. Anything that you can turn into a service that you can offer to the masses can be a gig on Fiverr and you can surely earn money with it. This is a great site for people to offer their services to others. It connects service providers with possible customers.
I personally use it but not for backlinks or anything. Those are spammy an mostly junk. I would highly recommend you stay away from using fiverr.com to bring backlinks to your blog.
Repeatedly Make $5
As the name implies, you earn $5 for every gig. For buyers, the services are free but for service providers, they pay a $1 fee for every $5 they earn. This is quite a fair fee considering Fiverr makes it easy for service providers to find potential buyers. You can also have rush orders for an extra $5. It can really add up 20 gigs a day is $100 per day.
Get Paid for Doing What You Love
The great thing with Fiverr is that anybody can earn money through their site. You don’t have to be a web content writer, a graphic designer, or a PHP coder to be able to make money. You can simply offer services that you enjoy doing and people will pay for that. It can be writing poems, taking pictures, doodling, and just about anything else.
All ads for gigs have a similar pattern which goes like “I will… for $5.” Whatever your offering, you can just simply fill in the blank. It’s that simple.
What Kind of Gigs Are Top-sellers on Fiverr?
The gigs that you should be using for your blog are going to discussed further down this page. You can easily find out simply by sorting gigs by ratings or popularity to see which gigs are earning the most. Make sure you do your due diligence and make sure they have good feedback before hiring anyone. Clearly, jobs relating to internet marketing are top sellers on Fiverr, but honestly I wouldn’t recommend them for link building (I know I said it before I just don’t want your blog to get penalized). Examples of these gigs are as follows that you should be using for your blog:

Press release submission. This is great because a lot of people have accounts that they pay for monthly that actually submit to good traffic value websites. These are done manually and it saves you a monthly bill if you are not going to be submitting press releases every month. Use Raluca she is awesome!
What all uses have you guys/girls found for fiverr.com? Please don’t tell me link building!
Voice overs. These are my favorites because you can get someone to read a simple script for $5. I have used this over and over again. Use Mark is awesome. Love ya Mark! Super fast!

These are awesome because design companies will often charge $65-300 for infographics.

Have videos created for you and they look awesome. Wayne is really one of the best. Always makes quality videos. Just send the script or have someone voice over the script and send them the mp3. I do this all the time.
How Do I Get My Gigs Featured on Fiverr?
• Use bookmarking software to submit your Fiverr gigs use about 15 of the most popular ones.
• Purchase Fiverr gigs that provide services on promoting your website, blog, or gigs on numerous Facebook and Twitter followers.
• Display your link on forums, blogs, and other discussion sites that deal with search engine optimization (SEO) and online advertising.
• Write guest post and point to your fiverr.com gig.
Once you get your gig featured on Fiverr, it will only remain there for a short amount of time. Remember that there’s a long line of people waiting for their gigs to be featured as well. Do good business and stay on top.

Garen,
Thanks for an informative post. I have used Fiverr to create a CD package image and standing book images.
How do you use Raluca to do press releases? Do you send her a list of media or does she already have the list?

Hey Erica,
I usually write the press releases and then she has pro accounts and you can embed three links in each post. Highly worth the 15 dollars for extra fast and the pro account.
I use Fiverr as a seller, I have a couple of gigs on there and have made some money but I know if I put more effort into it I could make a lot more.
Thanks for sharing you have given me the push to do more on this site.
Have a great day

Hey Pauline,
What types of gigs do you offer on Fiverr.com?
Garen, great breakdown on Fiverr and what to look for. Personally I have used Fiverr for video intros, banners and timeline covers. There are some good gigs on Fiverr.
Thanks for sharing,

Yeah Intros are a great find on Fiverr
I agree that you should avoid link building services on Fiverr! Most would likely only do harm to your site if they even have any effect. The gigs I like the most are video creation to help spread the word about your site or message.

Yeah videos are great and time consuming. Great find for $5
Hey Garen, I buy fiverr gigs all the time (mostly techie stuff, like building web pages, covering videos with graphics etc.).
I don’t give much thought to actually offering gigs as a seller, but you’ve made some really good points here to lead the way. I’ll sit down and make a short list of some possible gigs to sell, and just might test out the waters.
Thanks for the very helpful suggestion.
PS: I know you hate the link building thing, BUT… if you’re working on satellite sites, niche sites, review sites and the like, “responsible” link building could still be a valid way to get ranking, understanding that the rug could be pulled out from under you at any moment. I agree to NEVER do on your MAIN site (like your personal blog, for instance). But maybe give it a shot on some transitory sites… you think?

Hey David,
Sure let me know what you find out on fiverr gigs. I run a couple. I use my SEOmoz account to run backlink reports, and show people how to get 125 a sale for promoting web hosting
Yeah, let me know about testing the waters with Fiverr
Galen, I’ve heard a lot about Fiverr, but never used it. A couple of weeks ago I have read an article at ProBlogger about Fiverr that is also helps in building an email list and get subscribers to it.
I’ll have to spent some time on checking it out.

Hey Ehsan,
Can you tell me how you use it to build your list? I might want to implement this strategy into my niches.
I’ve used Fiverr for banner design (I got what I paid for
and also for getting comments/reviews on my Stumbleupon submissions. I stopped using them after a while, though, because I wanted comments to be genuine, versus Fiverr generated.
I don’t personally have the time to do gigs on Fiverr, but find it helpful when I find recommendations of people I can trust, like you shared in this article. It’s also helpful, as you pointed out, to sort the gigs by top ratings.

haha I can just imagine the comments you got from Fiverr. Probably of no quality at all and just looked like self generated comments or spam…lol
Very informative Garen. Like several others here I’ve used Fiverr, but never considered offering services. Extra income is always an attractive carrot, just not sure what I’d be able to offer – because I’d rather it be something I put my time into up front and then the buyer would download it – as opposed to me having to spend time working on separate gigs – there’s not enough time in the day as it is! Still, you’ve definitely got me thinking

I hear you on that. One I did was a simple pdf that signs people up for my tier 2 for Webhostinghub where they get started at $125 a sale. You can see it here http://fiverr.com/deaddogdesign/show-you-how-to-make-125-per-sale-promoting-web-hosting. Have to leverage my power affiliate status and hey if I make 5 dollars great, but sign ups will pay me $50 every sale since I they get $125 and I get $50
Really, need to find a book on how to promote on Fiverr. I think it’s golden. Got any ideas?
Haven’t seen any books on ways to promote gigs on Fiverr, but I think I’m going to start looking and I will definitely share with you if I find one, because you have inspired me Gavin! Seriously, after I left my original message I kept thinking about what I could do, and got the germ of an idea – then I saw your reply and it was like OMG I got it! I’m like a kid in a candy store when it comes to trying new things, so I can tell I’ll be diving into this over the weekend

Yeah I saw some books on Amazon on Fiverr, but I don’t think it’s quite the information I want. Possibly using social media would be the best way to go. Still testing it out.
Yup, I took a quick peak at those as well and decided to pass. What was interesting was spending some time in the Fiverr member forum. As a result, I’ve decided I’m going to test run my idea on my blog instead. We’ll see

Thanks for helping me understand the various ways in which Fiverr can be useful, Garen. I knew about this service, but had not really thought about how I might take advantage of it before. Certainly something to consider in my plan for next year.

Hi Garen
Wonderful information on Fivver.com and I especially liked your comment about back-links because I saw some folks promoting back-links from Fivver and they never said don’t use them for your personal site. Now I didn’t intend to, but I am sure some folks might be tempted because they think it is easy.
you have so many great suggestions, I will be book marking this page and coming back to consider it. I especially like the PR releases one – $15 sounds like a really good deal.
Thanks

Hey Clare,
Yeah there are a lot of good finds on Fiverr. I have some other finds so I will be writing another post on fiverr in December.
Fiverr is a wonderful resource. I use it to get logo’s for my sites created. I get content created there. And I love the video creation services that you can pick up from there. These days I don’t buy much SEO stuff from the providers there though. Seems that most are not using the most “wise” methods to get done what they are doing. But all in all you can find some great providers there if you do your research.

Hey Shelley,
Hmmm….I need to do a post on this strategy.
You’ll like fiverr for infographics. Trust me. Then go to myblogguest.com and they have an infographic place you can submit to. Put your code on your website as I did on my 65 blog tips post and you can build backlinks by people using your infographics. Leave them up and don’t choose a winner just direct them to your page to cut and paste your code
I too like Fiverr very much. I have a few gigs set up and make a little here and here, not too much but a little. I am going to use the press release submission service. I think that is perhaps the most ideal of them all.

After reading your post, I truly gained as much information I now needed to go ahead and investigate further how I will be able to use since I do love to write my blog post… and be able to earn income is always a plus.

Hey Nick,
Yeah give fiverr a try. It’s pretty neat and you would be amazed at the stuff you could get people to do for $5 that will help your blog.
Fiverr sounds like an awesome creative way to bring in some extra cash. I can see how it could be really fun if you can come up with something that you have to offer. Right now, I can’t think of a thing, but I betcha it will be on my mind!

Thanks for stopping by. I am going to write more about Fiverr.com sometime in the near future.
I just don’t like to make my post a mile long.
I was think of using for an E-book cover. I don’t know, I think there are some diamonds in the rough. For $5 it’s worth it to give it a shot. I will take a look at Voiceovers and press release submissions. Thanks for the ideas Garen.
Hey Steven,
Voice overs are great. The guy I use owns 4 radio stations and the sound is excellent. He is very fast too! All you have to do is write the script
Hey Garen,
Nice write up and good advise on buying backlinks from Fiverr. It’s really a wast. However, there are quite a good number of worthy services on this platform.
What I also love on Fiverr is the ability for International sellers to withdraw cash to Payoneer.

Hi Garen,
This is my first visit to your blog….looks great!
I’ve used Fiverr for many services and I love it! It’s simple to use and I’ve had excellent experiences with every transaction. I like the way it is set up because it is so simple and communication is a breeze. This is a great review on Fiverr, especially for bloggers who do not know how it works. It is a great resource for almost anything. I’ve used it for graphics, simple logos etc. I will be using it for videos in the future. Using Fiverr for backlinking doesn’t work. It is a waste of time and money, even if it is five bucks. Organic backlinking is much better and more effective. Thanks!
